Label Manager

The Role

The Label Manager will focus on the development of Sweden-based record labels.  This position will manage the day-to-day activities for distributed labels, working alongside label partners to develop artists and campaigns, and promote distributed music and video content.  The successful candidate will guide our label partners and internal teams on how best to market and monetize content in Sweden and the wider global marketplace. They are comfortable and knowledgeable discussing music as well as data analytics. The successful candidate will have a strong passion and knowledge of music and pop culture with an excitement for independent artist marketing and development.  They need to be a creative strategist who possess a strong understanding of the opportunities in the digital landscape.  Preferably, they have experience with metadata best practices and have solid technical capabilities.

The Label Manager is based in the Ingrooves Stockholm office.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage the day-to-day relationships with Sweden and Nordic based label partners acting as the primary point of contact externally to the label and internally representing your labels’ interests
  • Work with the Label Development team to strategize on growth of Nordic based music content on a global level
  • Managing, organizing and overseeing label and release presentations
  • Manage label partners’ priority release campaign logistics from inception through to analysis, working with other internal departments as necessary
  • Implement Best Practices across all release campaigns and comfortably use internal and external data sources to explain results to artists, labels and managers, and help create action plans from the results
  • Ensure the Global Sales Strategy and Engagement departments have all the assets and drivers necessary to properly solicit and market priority releases and provide appropriate cross-territory support
  • In collaboration with the Commercial Strategy Team, create and coordinate effective marketing strategies to drive DSP conversations internally and externally
  • Be the internal champion for label partners and their projects: ensure priority projects are highlighted and communicated to relevant teams worldwide
  • Work to develop a strategic partnership with the Nordic based labels to help guide label level distribution strategy
  • Liaise with all internal departments including sales strategy, engagement, video, operations, insights & analytics, finance and legal to ensure all label partners’ business needs are met
  • Manage assigned label’s physical and digital product logistics and operations, ensuring content is delivered in a timely manner and to required specifications using Ingrooves platforms and systems
  • Drive product adoption of Ingrooves’ technology platforms and services across the label roster
  • Maintain regular productive communication with assigned partners
  • Lead in business reviews with priority Swedish label partners
  • Drive partner engagement with Ingrooves’ platforms and services, providing guidance and feedback



  • Minimum of 2 years experience within a label, distribution or management company working with labels, managers and artists
  • 1-2 years experience of digital distribution, including digital marketing, operations and metadata requirements
  • Passion for music, artists, culture and technology
  • Passionate about music discovery and discovering what moves people to listen
  • A fan of multiple genres of music with the ability to represent Ingrooves in the marketplace
  • Extensive knowledge and relationships in the independent music community
  • Current industry network and relationships in the independent music industry and/or digital platforms
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of digital entertainment marketplace, industry trends, competitive landscape, differences among markets
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in music marketing with experience in planning, execution and analyzing/reporting successful campaigns for artists and labels
  • Confidence with data and evolving technology, and explaining their role in driving music consumption to internal and external partners
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a project deadline environment

  • Excellent skills in PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Languages: Swedish, fluent business English
